Undone is a perfect companion piece to the Unraveling series. Split into three parts; Before She Knew Me, When I Saved Her, and After I Left Her, we’re give  Ben’s thoughts and feelings towards what goes down before, during, and after the events in Unraveling.

I loved reading Ben’s POV. Because Unraveling focuses mostly on Janelle’s character, there was so much more to learn about Ben, Reid and Eli. In Before She Knew Me we get a little more insight into the boy’s lives, prior to being sucked through the portal.

When I Saved Her was generally enjoyable because it covered some pivotal scenes from Unraveling, although this time around, from Ben’s POV.

Although I loved the first two parts, my favorite from Undone is definitely After I Left Her, because it was all new material. If you read and loved Unraveling, you definitely need to read at least this section of the novella. It’ll help bridge a gap between 1 and 2 and help you better understand Ben’s motivations going into Unbreakable.

After I Left Her had quite a few “oh shit” moments. With new problems and new dangers beginning right off the bat, I screeched when Undone ended. It was the perfect appetizer to the yummy meal Unbreakable is sure to be.
